Fish is good because it contains Omaga 3. It's an oil that can cling to fat from others foods and helps fat pass through your system. If you can have lemons juice or squeezed lemon while you eat the fish, this will double help to lower your cholestrol. The lemon Juice is high in acidity which means it totally cleanzes your system and not to mention boost you emune system too.

Lean Meat. Grass fed beef is good,...alot of beef that are raised in feed lots/factory farms are fed with grain, which produces more fat inside the meat itself. Unfortunately most meats in groucery stores today comes from feed lots/factory farms. So if you can find a small local farmer in your area, ask him if he feeds his beef cattle grass/hay,...this means there is less fat inside the meat, making it leaner and lower in fat. If you eat hot sause or hot pepers with you beef, it will act much like lemons do, cleanzing you and give a boost to your emune system.

As for chicken, white meat is the best. The darker meat of a chicken is where most of the fat is stored. A sign of good chicken meat is when you go to a farm and see them running around in the barn yard. They get lots of excerise which means the chicken are healthy and produce leaner meat.

For Pork/Ham the more redish the meat is, means there is less fat.

Hope this helps,...

You'll likely need them lifetime. Once you stop them, the levels go back up.

When to test depends on the patient Talk to your doctor, but it could be every 1 - 3 - 6 months.

Lecithin is also supposed to lower cholesterol. You need to take 2 tablespoons of granular lecithin at every meal.

The only way to really know is to have your doctor presribe an ultrasound of your arteries. You should look into all natural ways of lowering your cholesterol. You should also do an oral chelation to help clean out your arteries. The only reason cholesterol sticks to your arteries is to help strenthen them, the problem is cholesterol keep sticking to each other and you have a heart attack.

I don't know about that.... but if you want an effective and safe way to lower cholesterol levels, begin a walking program.

Start with 15 minutes a day for a week, and then add 5 minutes to your walk the following week. In about 12 weeks you could be up to an hour, but don't push yourself... take your time. Walk at a pace that is comfortable and safe, a pace that you could hold a conversation with out getting winded.

Be consistent and you will notice many health benefits including lowered bad cholesterol levels. Consult you physician about starting any exercise program - walking is a good choice for beginning one.

depends on which statin you took, Lipitor actually removes the plaque as you lower your total cholesterol, it's the only one that does.
Good news tho, if you get your HDL up with exercise and proper diet, it will indeed remove the plaques as well. HDL which stands for high density lipids, actually scours out the blood vessels.

I personally don't know of any foods that typically lower cholesterol but there is totally safe supplement manufactured by Melaleuca that will. Phytomego is a Patented and Clinically Proven Supplement containing Fish Oil and Plant Sterols offering results in lower cholesterol and triglycerides. I know many people taking this safe alternative with awesome and often quick results in lowering cholesterol and triglycerides, this has thankfully kept them off of statin drugs which can often have horrible side effects. Best of luck to you.
