How long (months or weeks) should I take simvastatin and fenofibrates to lower my cholesterol triglycerides?

You’ll likely need them lifetime. Once you stop them, the levels go back up.
When to test depends on the patient Talk to your doctor, but it could be every 1 - 3 - 6 months.
